The Right to Bare Arms
Think some shoulder exposure at work makes you look less professional in the office? Not when the alternative is sweat stains from being too buttoned-up.
PINK has handpicked some breezy summer looks that will let you go sleeveless at work while still looking stylish and polished.
Pairing this mustard-colored Anne Klein blouse with charcoal slacks or a white pencil skirt gives you a pop of color without being distracting.
A patterned shift dress, like this one from JCPenney, takes the guesswork out of getting ready in the morning (and the guilt that comes with buying pricier items). Plus, you can throw it on with black pumps and not worry about accessorizing.
The great thing about a classic sleeveless button down is how easily it can go from office to weekend and everything in between. You can add a short-sleeved cardigan for work, then slip on some dark wash jeans and sandals for the farmers market or a family day at the park.
When rocking a sleeve-free look, experts suggest picking a breathable fabric that’s not clingy and making sure your bra isn’t visible through the armholes.
Check out these sleeveless and smart looks on Victoria Beckham, Anna Wintour and Vanessa Williams for more style inspiration.

Women need to wear long sleeves.
I totally disagree with your article that women can bare their arms at work. Visualize two men walking down a hall, both are basically dressed the same except one is wearing long sleeves and the other is wearing short sleeves. Who is the boss? 99% of the people I ask this question to say the guy in the long sleeves. Long sleeves create a vertical line and vertical lines create credibity and authority. If a women wants to be preceived as to having credibity and authority she needs to wear long sleeves. I tell my clients they can wear a short sleeve/sleeveless blouse or dress but must wear a jacket over it when in meetings or talking to others about work issues. When they are setting in their office and they are hot then they can take off their coat. Remember men know they need to wear long sleeves even if it is incredibly hot outside.
Finally test it. Wear a sleeveless dress or blouse and note how people treat you. Then wear a jacket over the dress or blouse. Are people treating you different? In my expereince they will.
Sincerely

Absolutely yes. Sleveless dresses can be cool, worn correctly. Make sure you try on garments before buying, add accessories, such as a necklace a simple bangle. A good pair of 'flats' or low heeled shoes. Check your neckline and underwear!. Also make sure you moisturize those arms. Beware dark fabrics can attract deodorant marks! It summer ladies, be feminine, smart, sassy, chique and confident.
